* NOTE: The southeastern states endured a very wet fall caused by two tropical storms and one hurricane. Excessive rainfall along with persistent cloudy, drizzly conditions delayed soybean harvest, thus severely impacting
soybean quality and maturity to degree that the data is not included in this final report and will not be used in the long term soybean quality and maturity averages.

1. Yields calculated at 13% moisture.
2. Lodging rating: Rated 1 (all plants erect) to 5 (over 80% of plants down).
3. Seed quality rating: Rated 1 (very good) to 5 (very poor).
4. CV = 12.6% and df for EMS = 46.
5. The F-test indicated no statistical differences at the alpha = .10 probability level; therefore, a LSD value was not calculated.
6. CV = 15.0% and df for EMS = 50.
7. CV = 14.6% and df for EMS = 62.
Bolding within each test denotes entries with yields equal to the highest yielding entry based on Fisher's protected LSD (P = 0.10).

Harvested:	Maturity Group V - November 2, 2002.
	Maturity Group VI - November 2, 2002.
	Maturity Groups VII & VIII - November 8, 2002.
Seeding Rate:	Ten seeds per foot in 30" rows.
Soil Type:	Cecil coarse sandy loam.
Soil Test:	Maturity Group V: P = High, K = High, and pH = 6.5.
	Maturity Groups VI, VII & VIII: P = High, K = High, and pH = 6.8.
Fertilization:	0 lb N, 45 lb P₂O₅, and 90 lb K₂O/acre.
Previous Crop:	Grain sorghum.
Management:	Chiseled and disked; FirstRate, Dual Magnum, Classic, and one cultivation used for weed control; subsoiled between rows after cultivation; Telone II used for nematode control; Karate used for
	insect control; Maturity Group V irrigated 5.0 inches; Maturity Groups VI, VII and VIII irrigated 4.0 inches.
