Sorghum x Sudangrass
Planted: April 18, 2002.
Seeding Rate: 150,000 seed/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Tifton loamy sand.
Soil Test:  P = High, K = Low, and pH = 6.4.
Fertilization: Preplant:  46 lb N, 40 lb P2O5, and 81 lb K2O/acre.
Sidedress:  58 lb N/acre, plus 40 lb N/acre after 1st and 2nd harvests.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Paratilled, subsoiled & bedded, and rototilled; Atrazine and Permit used for weed control;
Dimethoate used for insect control; Nemacur used for nematod control.

Millet
Planted: April 18, 2002.
Seeding Rate: 4 lb seed/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Tifton loamy sand.
Soil Test: P = High, K = Medium, and pH = 5.7
Fertilization: Preplant:  40 lb N, 80 lb P2O5, and 120 lb K2O/acre.
Sidedress:  58 lb N/acre, plus 40 lb N/acre after 1st, 2nd, and 3rd harvests.
Previous Crop: Small grain winter forage.
Management: Subsoiled & bedded and rototilled; Atrazine used for weed control; Dimethoate used for insect control; Nemacur used for nematode control.
