Planted: October 30, 1996.
Harvested: June 4, 1997.
Seeding Rate: 5 lb/acre.
Soil Test: P = Very High, K = Very High, and pH = 5.4.
Fertilization: Preplant: 60 lb N, 60 lb P2O5, 60 lb K2O, and 10 lb S/acre.
Topdress: 50 lb N and 10 lb S/acre on January 21, 1997 and 120 lb N
and 30 lb S/acre on February 6, 1997.
Previous Crop: Canola.
Test conducted by C. B. Hill, D. Spradlin, B. Dowell, W. Davis, and P. L. Raymer.
NOTE: This variety test was located directly adjacent to a Phoma blackleg disease
nursery that was inoculated by spreading infected stubble over the field
shortly after planting.
